MARLO FOGELMAN
Marlo has dedicated her career to strategic integrated marketing at the highest level, with a personal passion for the hospitality industry. From independent restaurant concepts to large-scale hotel chain expansions, to QSR franchise growth planning, Marlo has established a robust portfolio of clients and work incorporating multiple layers of communications, creative design, operations, advertising, promotions, partnerships, loyalty programs, vendor management, event sales and more.
Over the course of nearly 20 years running the integrated agency marlo marketing, Marlo helped elevate and evolve some of the most iconic hospitality brands in the country, offering a singular ability to deliver tactic-agnostic and holistic marketing solutions to exceed business goals. This ability to organically offer outsourced marketing support as an extension of internal client teams led to the creation of a dedicated offshoot of her long-running agency focused solely on outsourced marketing.
The Outsourced Hospitality Marketing (OHM) division of marlo marketing was formalized post-pandemic because of the unmet need for hospitality-centric brands seeking a partner with the unique ability to evaluate, ideate, and execute complex and layered marketing strategies internally and externally that facilitate growth, foster ambassadorship, and ultimately drive sales. Time and again clients with and without C-suite support have shared their challenges with disparate and fragmented marketing cobbled together that typically requires too much management and doesn’t deliver desired results. This challenge has only become more acute with increased stress on talent, supply, and consumer demand. OHM was created to address the dire need for a cost-effective way for companies to outsource while still getting the benefits of an internal team.
YANA BUSHOY
Yana has a digital- and data-first approach to marketing through which her team evaluates, establishes, and executes soup-to-nuts marketing solutions for any point of a brand’s life cycle while spanning all touchpoints from back to front of house.
Yana transitioned to the agency world in 2016, bringing with her critical in-house experience as Director of Marketing for 5 Napkin Burger during its rapid national expansion. Having worn every hat imaginable throughout her rise from intern post-degree at Cornell’s School of Hospitality Administration to third corporate employee to eventual marketing lead, she understands the client-side pain points that all restaurant operators face with their marketing: either spend a lot of money on building a team in-house with a high-priced CMO or hire agencies and try to manage messaging and workflow.
Today, Yana works with a variety of clients in the QSR and casual dining space to maximize efficiency, leverage the latest technology, and ultimately drive sales. Her team’s work at OHM is not strictly limited to consumer-facing activation, but rather takes an inclusive approach to every vehicle that will drive success for the brand. From single unit restaurants poised for growth all the way up to multi-unit chains with an entirely different set of needs, Yana and her team offer a customized approach to every brand whether it be go-to market viability and strategic planning or long-term market sustainability. Her specialty in particular has been technological integration across various touchpoints. Whether it’s optimizing a loyalty or email program to drive visits, to creating unique digital or social campaigns to foster ambassadorship, to reassessing reservation and POS systems to maximize repeat visitation, Yana connects the dots through data and is fully immersed in the now and next to keep QSR brands efficient, engaging, and profitable.
